Anne Courtney Moran
80, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10 after a year-long illness at the age of 80. Anne was, until the end, full of life and love for her family and friends. Born March 28, 1937 in Oak Park, Illinois, Anne attended Trinity High School and later Rosary College and was proud of her Chicago Irish roots.
Anne was married to her husband Terry for 36 years, until his death in 1995. Together they raised three sons, Timothy, Michael, and Patrick, moving to Indianapolis in 1970. As their children grew older, Anne studied for and received an MA in Accounting and became a CPA, working for the IRS for 20+ years.
After her retirement in 2004, Anne pursued her passion for travel around the world, but especially Mexico, where she loved the people, culture, language and the food.
Preceded in death by her husband Terry and her son, Tim, Anne is survived by her sons Dr. Michael Moran of Muncie, IN and Patrick Moran (Georgie) of St. Paul, MN, as well as her sisters, Mary Schulz of Long Beach, CA and Patricia Kalter of Chicago. She has also been lucky to have the love and companionship of Bob Borys for the last 12 years. Finally, she was particularly delighted by and proud of her six grandchildren, Thomas, Eleanor, Joseph, Michael, William, and Declan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
