Oren L. "Red" Murphy,

95, of Indianapolis, departed this life April 26, 2013. Red was born in Elk City, KA on January 4, 1918 to Clarence and Persis Murphy. He was a highly decorated WW II Army veteran becoming a POW during the Battle of the Bulge with the 106th Infantry Division and whose love of country was only exceeded by his love of God and family. Oren L. "Red" Murphy,

95, of Indianapolis, departed this life April 26, 2013. Red was born in Elk City, KA on January 4, 1918 to Clarence and Persis Murphy. He was a highly decorated WW II Army veteran becoming a POW during the Battle of the Bulge with the 106th Infantry Division and whose love of country was only exceeded by his love of God and family. Red was also a member of 60 years in the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife: Jane - who was the mother of his four children, 2 brothers, sister and a grandchild. He is survived by his wife: Ivalyne Murphy, children: Frank G. (Diane) Murphy, Alice A. (Tony) Ferguson, James L. (Carol) Murphy and John R. (Yvonne) Murphy. Red was known affectionately as GaGa to his 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 1st, at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the mortuary. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
