Ruth " Maxine" Carroll, 77,
Indianapolis, passed away Saturday evening, September 17, 2016.
She was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 6, 1939 to Arthur and Ruth McCleery. On June 22, 1957 she married Allen M. Carroll.
Maxine delighted in being a mother and homemaker for many years. She spent 13 years as a receptionist for an area eye doctor. She was known for her impressive shopping skills and enjoyed decorating their home. Some of her favorite times included friends and family, Vegas trips and following football, especially her beloved Colts.

She was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 6, 1939 to Arthur and Ruth McCleery. On June 22, 1957 she married Allen M. Carroll.
Maxine delighted in being a mother and homemaker for many years. She spent 13 years as a receptionist for an area eye doctor. She was known for her impressive shopping skills and enjoyed decorating their home. Some of her favorite times included friends and family, Vegas trips and following football, especially her beloved Colts.
Both Maxine and Allen opened their home throughout their lives to family and friends, acting as mentors to them all. Late in life she was challenged by several physical problems, but continued on without complaint.
Survivors, who she loved mightily and who returned that love, include her husband, Allen; daughter Teresa Augspurger(Randy); three grandsons, Bart Early, Nicholas Carroll (Sarah Clayton), James Carroll (Venecia). Great grandchildren include Jamie Carroll, Jacob Carroll, and Leah Carroll.
Sister include Ruthann Graham (Ray) and Marilyn Greulach. All reside in Indianapolis. A nephew, Erik Greulach (Brenda) and their daughter, Kailee reside in Oxford, Florida. Maxine was preceded in death by her son, Dean Allen Carroll.
A memorial evening will be held at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 East 71st St. Indianapolis, on Thursday, September, 22, 2016 from 4 pm until 8 pm with a memorial service at 7 pm. Tributes may be posted at www.feeneyhornakkeystone.com
